Overcoming the urge.
Describing the condition.
Psychological addiction happens when your cravings for a drug are psychological or emotional. People who are psychologically addicted feel overcome by the desire to have a drug. They may lie or steal to get it.
You cross the line between abuse and addiction when you are no longer using the drug to have fun or get high, but because you are now psychologically dependent upon it. Your whole life centers around the need for the drug. As an addicted person - whether it is a physical or psychological addiction or both – you no longer have a choice in taking a substance.
